Bees in the Garden

Bumble Bee on dahlia
Bumble bee on Franz Kafka pompom dahlia

We all know about the bee crisis and as gardeners we can help.

I originally planted borage as a companion plant for tomatoes and a soil fertilizer. I soon discovered that bees and other pollinators love them too.

Borage reseeds freely. Now I only remove plants growing in inconvenient spots or when they crowd a crop plant.

Having flowers, they can visit from spring to fall is a wonderful way to keep them in your garden.
